COVID-19: Funke Akindele and her husband in court for hosting party during COVID-19 lockdown
Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, and her husband, JJC Skillz, have been arraigned at the Magistrate Court in Ogba for hosting a party during the COVID-19 lockdown.
They were charged to court on Monday for breaching the Lagos Infectious Diseases Regulations 2020 which prescribes a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine or both for persons found guilty of hosting gatherings or flouting the lockdown order.
The actress hosted a house party on Sunday to celebrate her husband’s 43rd birthday.
JJC Skillz, whose original name is Abdulrasheed Bello, was also in court with her.

President Muhammadu Buhari has finally spoken on when lockdown order
during the Covid-19 will be lifted when citizens fully comply with preventive measures to curtail against COVID-19.
Minister of Information, Lai Mohammed, disclosed when he featured on the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) to update the public on the government’s efforts toward containing the pandemic.
Mohammed noted that it would be difficult to defeat coronavirus if citizens failed to observe directives meant to safeguard themselves and others.
Asked whether or not the two weeks lockdown President Muhammadu Buhari slammed on Abuja, Lagos and Ogun could be extended; the minister said the behavior of Nigerians would determine that.
“If we don’t behave ourselves, it is likely that the lockdown will be extended, but if we behave ourselves, there might not be an extension and I hope we do so.
“If we stay at home for two weeks and we are doing everything we are supposed to do, we should be able to effectively contain the disease.
“My appeal to Nigerians is that they should obey the directives on social distancing, personal hygiene, and shun gatherings; after two weeks, we will resume our normal lives.
“But if they think it is a joke, then we may have to stay at home more than the two weeks,” Mohammed added.
As the time of filing this report, Nigeria has recorded 190 cases of coronavirus and two deaths.

Popular instagram comedian SYDNEY TALKER [The towel Guy] has been in the spotlight for the past few weeks for wrong reasons, firstly call was put through the National Centre for Disease Control [NCDC] by the comedian to inform them about him having corona virus symptoms, but NCDC refused to pick the call, people called out the NCDC for classifying such critical call as a prank call from one comedian as it was stated on the agency’s official pages, Nigerians rain abuse on the health agency for neglecting such call while the previous day Superstar DAVIDO his wife and 32 entourages were tested by the agency .
People says the agency was being partial because Sydney wasn’t a son of Billionaire that’s why that’s why his plea was classified as prank .
Few days later the comedian shared a disturbing post of him gasping in a critical health state, the comedian stated that this is what he went through yesterday night, getting rejected from one hospital to the other and NCDC still refuses to run corona virus test for him, Concerned Nigerians however took all social media platform to protest SYDNEY .
Afterwards Sydney released another statement stating he’s now in stable condition but he couldn’t confirm wether he has been tested or not, this led to his fans calling him to reveal his status by showing the people his corona virus test so that people he has being in contact with will know their health status also .
